Certificate III in Music Industry - Production and Performance

Course Description

Production & Performance is a two-year course completed during Years 11 and Year 12. This program focuses on Production and Performance, emphasising music creation, recording, and the use of technology. In addition to producing and recording music, students are encouraged to showcase their skills through performances.
Throughout the course, students will:
- Perform basic sound editing
- Plan for a career in the music industry
- Repair and maintain audio equipment
- Develop and apply knowledge of audio theory
- Develop basic audio skills and knowledge
- Record and mix basic music demos
- Incorporate technology into music making
- Implement copyright arrangements
- Perform simple repertoire in ensembles
Furthermore, students will receive guidance on creating their own music using Music Production software, commonly known as Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).

Minimum Entry Requirements

Completed Year 9 or 10 Class Music and willing to perform at school and external events and be willing to assist with set up and pack up of music equipment at events.
