The study of Italian in Year 9 aims to extend the basic communication skills previously acquired and gives students a deeper understanding of the Italian language and the culture.

Various activities such as cooking, role-play and research projects also provide opportunities for cultural and language learning.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in excursions and other cultural activities, which enable them to utilise the target language and develop an understanding of the culture. Students study topics such as, going out with friends, fashion, holidays and shopping.
