Year 9 Electives
Visual Arts
Course Description
In the Visual Arts course students will be able to showcase their creativity and imagination through creating unique 2D or 3D artworks based on a set theme and experimenting with a range of different materials, technique and processes.
They will plan and document their ideas in a Visual Diary before creating their final artwork. 2D artworks may take the forms of drawing, printmaking, painting, drawing, textiles or mixed media. Whilst 3D projects may include sculpture, ceramics (clay work), and mixed media constructions. These hands-on practical courses will allow students to develop both skills and knowledge for continuation in Visual Arts Year 10, 11 and 12.
