In Week 3 of this term, we celebrated World Educators’ Day, a special occasion to recognise the incredible dedication and passion of the educators and support staff at Our Lady of Mercy College. Our educators embraced the fun by showing off their best hats while student leaders organised a fun relay game to spark laughter and excitement.
Our staff members are amazing individuals who face unique challenges every day, yet they continue to inspire learning and nurture faith within the students.
In our Catholic community and our Mercy context, they are the heart and soul, guiding the students to embrace life with compassion and integrity. Their unwavering commitment to shaping young minds and hearts is truly a blessing, and I know that the students are grateful for their presence in their lives.
I thank the wonderful support staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes. Their efforts ensure that our educational environment is warm, welcoming, and conducive to growth. On World Educators’ Day, we celebrated their invaluable contributions alongside those of our teachers.
Together, as a staff, we create a community where students can thrive academically, spiritually, and personally. Let’s take this opportunity to affirm within each one of us, the impact that our teachers and support staff have on our students’ lives.
As their Principal, I thank each and every one of them for their dedication and the positive influence they have on the young people within our community.
