Reports linking employee wellbeing and their effectiveness in the workplace and illustrating the close relationship between staff wellbeing and student wellbeing have been increasing in the media recently.
As a way of showing the value of staff wellbeing and of displaying the welcoming Mercy value of Hospitality, a series of staff morning teas are planned to be held across the 2023 school year. Each morning tea will be hosted by the staff from one of the Our Lady of Mercy College Houses.
Last term, Costello staff were the first House to put on a morning tea for all staff across the school, with Costello staff bringing in a plate of healthy, tasty food to share.
From the many smiles seen and conversations heard that morning, these morning teas promise to be a great way to build positive relationships and a culture of belonging amongst teaching and support staff at Our Lady of Mercy College.
We are looking forward to Read House hosting the next morning tea this term.
