A small group of Year 10 and 11 students recently had the fantastic opportunity to attend Edith Cowan University’s (ECU) very first Pathways to Health event.
Students were inspired by personal stories from health professionals and explored a range of career paths, from Nutrition and Dietetics to Paramedicine and Speech Pathology. Former West Coast Eagles player Mark Nicoski also shared a memorable talk on the strong connections that develop between medical professionals and their elite athletes.
Our students gained a lot from this unique experience. Here's what they had to say:
"I think it was a very educational and rewarding experience and it has introduced me to the allied health professions I didn't know existed!"
"It was a fun experience; I loved the interactive stands that were set up."
Thank you to Nicole Hearn and the ECU team for making this day possible for our students. For more information about medical and allied health pathways, please contact the College's Career Services team.
