Our Lady of Mercy College congratulates Quade Watt on his upcoming Electrical Apprenticeship with Griffin Coal.
Quade’s journey toward becoming an electrician began in Year 10, when he participated in a Career Planning meeting with Mr Briers to explore his career aspirations and plan his Upper School subject selection.
In Year 11, Quade took a significant step by completing a Certificate II in Electrotechnology through the VET Delivered to Secondary Students (VETdSS) program at South Regional TAFE.
His dedication didn’t stop there—he also completed 200 hours of industry-based learning with Griffin Coal throughout 2024, gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
Quade’s hard work, determination, and commitment to excellence have paid off, earning him a well-deserved apprenticeship.
He sets a remarkable example of how Vocational Training and industry-based learning in Upper School can lead to success in achieving career goals.
Congratulations, Quade! We wish you all the best as you start this exciting new chapter in your career.
