College Year 12s Lead the Way in Tinnies for Vinnies Appeal

With the increasing cost of living, many local families are struggling financially to the point that they cannot afford regular nutritional meals.

Therefore, this year’s Tinnies for Vinnies Appeal was hugely important in helping the local conferences in Australind, Harvey and Collie to stock their pantries.

College families showed the Mercy value of Compassion by donating an impressive array of non-perishable food items for the cause.

The Year 12 cohort were determined to beat the tallies of previous graduating classes by donating the greatest number of items this year.  Lead by the College Student Executive, Year 12s either donated items or cash and then using the cash, did a run to a local food warehouse to buy as many items as they could.  The tally came in at 605.  Well done Year 12s!  Mr Mazza is very proud.

Thank-you to everyone who made a contribution to the hampers. Vinnies representatives, Michael and Lorna from Australind, and Leanne from Harvey, have collected their items and were extremely grateful for our support.
