Workplace Learning Opens Doors for Future Healthcare Career

Year 10 is a very important year for our students in preparing them for future careers and subject selection in Year 11 and 12. Our Lady of Mercy College offers students in Year 10 the opportunity to participate in the Year 10 Workplace Learning elective subject.

Chloe, one of our Year 10 students, is currently completing her Workplace Learning placement at South West Hospital Pharmacy, located at the entrance of St John of God Bunbury Hospital.

Spending one day a week with her host employer, Chloe has been learning about the vital role pharmaceutical practice plays in supporting patient care. With a strong interest in a healthcare career, she’s using this opportunity to explore potential professions in the field.

Chloe’s host supervisor had glowing feedback, and we’re proud to share that she’s done a fantastic job developing industry-based skills and knowledge through this program.

If you would like to know more about the Workplace Learning Program, please contact the Career Services Team at the College.
