The Careers Services Team is dedicated to providing our students with diverse opportunities to explore various career pathways.
In week 9 of Term 3, 74 Year 9 students participated in a Career Taster event with Mindflight7. This wonderful experience allowed the students to explore potential career options within the STEM fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics using Virtual Reality Technology.
Students engaged in various hands-on career-related activities, including open-heart surgery, animal dissection, forklift operation, hairdressing, and even a professional fishing simulator. These immersive experiences helped ignite curiosity and enthusiasm in the students, encouraging them to explore future career possibilities.
Thank you to Marchelle from South Regional TAFE and Paulo and Arpit from Mindflight7 for making this event possible and providing such a valuable learning experience for our students.
Here’s what some of the students had to say about their experience:

“It was a different experience. I thought it was very cool and fun. It was nice to see yourself in the environment of the workplace.” – Jessica Andrews

“It was a great experience, and I’m glad I went and gave it a go.” – Riley Mammolite
